Syngenta Zevictra TC is a premium, non-repellent termiticide designed to protect your home and buildings from the ground up. Unlike older chemicals that merely repel termites (often leaving gaps), Zevictra TC uses Imidacloprid 30.5% SC to create an undetectable treatment zone. Termites unknowingly enter this zone, get infected, and carry the lethal dose back to the nest, eliminating the entire colony including the queen.

Product scienceHow It Works: Mode of Action

Zevictra works on the "Lateral Transfer" principle. Since termites cannot detect it, they freely walk through treated soil, becoming carriers of the toxicant.

  1. Exposure: Forager termites enter the treated soil zone. The chemical sticks to their bodies and is ingested during grooming.
  2. Transfer: These termites return to the colony and interact with others (grooming and feeding). The chemical is passed to the Queen and soldiers.
  3. Colony Collapse: The active ingredient attacks the nervous system, causing paralysis and death of the entire nest over time.

This mechanism ensures that even if you miss a small spot during application, the infected termites help bridge the gap.

  • Mixing: Premix the concentrated Zevictra with a small amount of water to make a slurry before adding it to the main tank. Stir well.
  • Drilling (Post-Const): Drill close to the wall (approx 150mm away) to hit the soil junction where termites enter. Drill depth should be at least 150mm to cross the slab.
  • Soil Condition: If the soil is very dry (in pre-construction), water it slightly before applying Zevictra to help the chemical penetrate deep into the ground.
  • Safety: Do not let the chemical run off into drains or water bodies. Wear a mask and gloves during mixing.
