Product scienceHow It Works: Mode of Action

Yamato works by targeting the cell division process of the fungus. It acts like a "stop button" for the disease.

  1. Absorption: Upon spraying, the plant absorbs the chemical through leaves and roots.
  2. Translocation: It travels upwards through the plant's water vessels (xylem) to reach growing tips.
  3. Disruption: It binds to the fungal cells and stops them from dividing (inhibits mitosis), effectively killing the fungus and halting the infection.

Note: Because it moves upward, it is excellent for protecting new leaves, but root diseases require a soil drench application.

How to applyDosage & Application Guide

The Golden Rule: Always follow the "Dose per Acre" for accurate results.

How to applyDosage per Acre, Litre, & Pre-Harvest Interval (PHI)
CropDose (ml or g / Acre)Water (L / Acre)Dose (g / Litre)PHI (Days)
Paddy (Blast)200 – 250 g150 – 200 L1.0 – 1.5 g28 Days
Cotton / Groundnut200 – 225 g200 L1.0 g-
Seed Treatment2 g per kg seedN/AN/AN/A

*PHI = Pre-Harvest Interval: The minimum number of days to wait between the last spray and harvesting.

Useful detailsHow to Apply: Best Practices
  • Timing: Apply protectively at the early tillering stage or immediately when disease symptoms first appear.
  • Mixing: Do NOT mix with alkaline products like Bordeaux Mixture or Lime Sulfur, as this destroys the chemical. It is compatible with Mancozeb.
  • Coverage: Ensure constant agitation (stirring) in the tank as WP formulations tend to settle at the bottom.
  • Safety: Always wear PPE (gloves, mask, goggles). Wash hands thoroughly after use. Do not use near fish ponds.
