HPM Vadh CS Product Overview

HPM Vadh CS is a capsule-suspension insecticide containing lambda-cyhalothrin 4.9% CS. It is registered for labelled insect pests in cotton, paddy, brinjal, okra, tomato, grapes and chilli.

Lambda-cyhalothrin is a non-systemic synthetic pyrethroid with contact and stomach action. The capsule-suspension formulation holds the active ingredient in small capsules dispersed in water and releases it after the spray deposit dries on the crop and target pest. Lambda-cyhalothrin acts on insect nerve sodium channels and is classified by IRAC in Group 3A. Contact with the treated surface or ingestion of treated plant material disrupts normal nerve function, leading to knockdown. For resistance management, do not rely repeatedly on Group 3A products; follow the label and local expert guidance when rotating modes of action.

How to applyApplication and Safety
  • Apply at pest initiation or the economic-threshold stage and follow the current pack label for timing and repeat sprays.
  • Measure the crop-specific dose, add it to a partly filled spray tank, agitate, then add the remaining water for uniform coverage.
  • Do not enter treated areas for 48 hours after spraying, as stated on the registered label.
  • Wear protective clothing, gloves, eye protection and a mask; avoid inhalation and skin or eye contact.
  • Lambda-cyhalothrin is highly hazardous to fish and bees. Prevent spray drift and contamination of water bodies, feed and food.
