HPM Toofan Product Overview

HPM Toofan is a Chlorpyrifos 16% + Alpha-Cypermethrin 1% EC combination insecticide. The current Indian package label covers foliar control of the cotton bollworm complex: American bollworm, spotted bollworm, and pink bollworm. Use Toofan only for the crop, pests, dose, water volume, re-entry period, pre-harvest interval, and application frequency printed on the current pack label.

The two active ingredients act at different insect nerve targets. Chlorpyrifos is an organophosphate acetylcholinesterase inhibitor in IRAC Group 1B, while alpha-cypermethrin is a synthetic pyrethroid sodium-channel modulator in IRAC Group 3A. The formulation acts through contact and stomach exposure and is intended for labelled foliar application.
