How It Works: Mode of Action

Simodis affects the normal working of the pest nervous system.

  1. Contact and feeding: Susceptible pests are exposed when they contact the treatment or feed on treated plants.
  2. Nerve disruption: Isocycloseram disrupts channels that help regulate nerve signals, affecting movement and survival.
  3. Resistance planning: Another Group 30 insecticide has the same mode-of-action group. Plan changes of group, not only changes of brand.

Dosage & Application Guide

Application Requirements

  1. Identify the crop problem: Confirm the target pest before selecting treatment. The presence of a crop in the list does not make Simodis suitable for every pest in that crop.
  2. Plan canopy coverage: Use suitable calibrated spray equipment to reach the intended crop canopy while avoiding drift and missed areas.
  3. Keep products separate: Do not tank-mix Simodis with other chemicals. Do not treat a general compatibility claim as permission for a particular mixture.

How to Apply: Best Practices

  • Check weather: Avoid high winds. Do not apply when rain is expected within two hours; this is a weather precaution, not a rainfastness guarantee.
  • Protect bees and water: Do not spray while bees are actively foraging. Prevent drift onto flowering plants and keep product, spray and washings away from water bodies.
  • Measure the treated area: Use dedicated measuring equipment and the actual crop area. Neither one bottle nor a multi-bottle bundle defines field coverage.
  • Avoid automatic repeats: A maximum of two applications during the crop life is a ceiling, not a fixed spray schedule. Follow the supplied pack for the first treatment, any repeat and harvest and entry restrictions.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Are 9.2% w/w and 10% w/v different Simodis formulations?

No. They express the same product concentration on weight and volume bases. The formulation is DC.

2. Do all pests in a crop use one rate?

No. Brinjal, chilli and cotton have different pest groups. Do not assume mites, jassids and borers require the same treatment amount.

3. Can I mix it with a fungicide or fertiliser?

Do not mix it with other chemicals. Apply the product separately under the supplied pack directions.

4. Does the bottle size determine coverage?

No. The crop, target and complete application directions determine the required amount; packaging is not a spray programme.

5. Does the two-hour rain precaution mean it is rainfast?

No. Avoiding expected rain is not a guarantee that performance is unaffected by rain after treatment.

Safety & Disclaimer

Before you use it: Read the supplied Indian label and leaflet, including crop, preparation, harvest, worker-entry and disposal directions. Simodis is classified Danger / Moderately Toxic. Do not treat it as harmless or use pack size as an application rate.

Keep product, spills and washings away from ponds, streams, drains, irrigation and drinking water. Keep people and animals away until the supplied pack permits access.

Store closed in the original container, locked away from children, food, feed and animals in a dry, ventilated place away from direct sunlight. Never reuse empty containers; follow current authorised disposal arrangements.
