Simodis works by targeting the nervous system of insects in a completely unique way compared to older pesticides. It binds to the GABA receptors effectively "locking" them.

  1. Entry: The chemical enters the pest through direct contact (spraying) or ingestion (eating treated leaves).
  2. Hyperexcitation: It blocks the chloride channels in the insect's nerves, causing uncontrollable tremors and convulsions.
  3. Elimination: The pest stops feeding immediately and dies shortly after due to paralysis, breaking the life cycle of eggs, larvae, and adults.

It also features Translaminar Action, meaning it penetrates the leaf surface to reach pests hiding on the underside (like mites and aphids).
