Shinwa works differently from traditional insecticides. It targets the insect's nervous system in a unique way:

1. Target: It binds to the GABA-gated chloride channels in the pest's neurons.
2. Blockade: Unlike other chemicals that open these channels, Shinwa blocks them. This prevents the "calming" chloride ions from entering the nerve cells.
3. Result: The pest's nervous system becomes over-excited and "locks up." This leads to immediate convulsions, paralysis, and death.
