HPM Saver Product Overview

HPM Saver is a foliar systemic fungicide containing difenoconazole 25% EC. It is a triazole demethylation-inhibitor fungicide classified in FRAC Group 3.

Saver is absorbed through treated leaves and moves acropetally and across leaf tissue. HPM describes preventive and curative activity, while the current Indian label authorises specific crop-and-disease combinations only. Apply preventively or when disease first appears, and always follow the current pack label.

Why farmers choose itKey Benefits of HPM Saver
  • Systemic leaf uptake: the active ingredient is absorbed into treated foliage rather than remaining only on the surface.
  • Preventive and early curative use: supports disease management when applied before infection or at the first visible signs, as directed on the label.
  • Translaminar and acropetal movement: helps distribute the active ingredient through treated leaf tissue and upward within the plant.
  • Defined disease spectrum: the current label includes scab, leaf spot, rust, blight, powdery mildew, purple blotch, fruit rot and anthracnose on specified crops.
  • Clear resistance group: FRAC Group 3 identification helps plan rotations with fungicides having a different mode of action.

Product scienceHow Difenoconazole Works

Difenoconazole inhibits C14-demethylase (CYP51), an enzyme required for fungal sterol biosynthesis. Interfering with sterol formation disrupts normal fungal cell-membrane development and restricts pathogen growth. FRAC places difenoconazole in Group 3 and notes cross-resistance can occur among DMI fungicides active against the same fungus.

For resistance management, do not repeatedly substitute another Group 3 triazole and call it a rotation. Where a further treatment is justified, use an independently label-matched fungicide from a different FRAC group and follow local expert guidance.

How to applyLabelled Crops, Diseases, Dose and PHI

Use the crop-specific rate below. These values come from the current Indian Difenoconazole 25% EC primary label. PHI is the minimum interval between the last spray and harvest. Re-entry is 24 hours after each application.

How to applyApplication and Safety
  • Timing: apply preventively or at the initial appearance of disease. A second application may be made after 10–15 days according to disease incidence; do not exceed two applications per season.
  • Mixing: measure the required product, mix it first with a small quantity of water, then add the remaining water with thorough agitation.
  • Coverage: use suitable spray equipment and achieve thorough, even foliage coverage without overlapping or exceeding the label rate.
  • Weather: avoid windy conditions, hot hours, wet foliage and spraying when rain is imminent.
  • Safety: wear full protective clothing while mixing and spraying. Avoid contact with mouth, eyes and skin, and avoid inhaling spray mist.
  • Water protection: do not contaminate ponds, lakes, ditches, drainage systems, irrigation water or domestic water with spray, drift or product waste.
  • Re-entry: keep people and animals out of the treated field for 24 hours after each spray.
