Coromandel Salvo SC Fipronil 5% SC Insecticide

Coromandel Salvo SC is a liquid suspension-concentrate insecticide containing Fipronil 5% SC. Its verified Indian crop-use scope covers specified insects in rice, cabbage, chilli, sugarcane and cotton.

Fipronil belongs to IRAC Group 2B, the phenylpyrazole or fiprole GABA-gated chloride-channel blockers. It disrupts normal insect nerve signalling. Coromandel describes Salvo SC as having systemic, contact and stomach action. This identity does not mean that every pest, crop, timing or application method is approved.

Use the current physical Salvo SC label as the final authority. Match the crop and pest exactly, and follow its rate, water volume, application timing, maximum number of sprays, re-entry direction, waiting period, protective equipment and environmental precautions.

How to applyRegistered Crop, Pest, Dose and Waiting Period

The table retains the Government registered-use values per hectare and the matching Coromandel rate per acre. Do not turn either figure into a universal dose per litre, spray pump or tank.

The physical Salvo SC label controls if it differs. The Government table shows 7 days for cotton bollworms; an alternate Fipronil 5% SC trade-product label reviewed shows 6 days, so verify the current Salvo pack before use or publication. Pack size is not a dose, and a measured rate must not be rounded merely to finish a bottle.

How to applyApplication and Resistance Stewardship
  • Confirm the pest and crop stage before deciding whether treatment is justified; similar symptoms can have a different cause.
  • Measure the current label rate and calibrate label-permitted equipment for uniform coverage at the directed water volume.
  • Do not invent a per-litre, 15-litre pump or tank concentration from the hectare or acre figures.
  • Count Salvo SC as Group 2B. Another Fipronil or Group 2B product is not a different-mode resistance rotation.
  • If another treatment is justified, use an effective different-group product only where its own current label independently matches the crop, pest and timing.
  • No tank mix, simultaneous application, layering or automatic spray sequence is recommended on this page.
Use with careSafety, Environmental Care and Storage

Wear every item of protective equipment required by the current Salvo SC label. Avoid skin and eye contact and inhalation of spray mist. Do not eat, drink, smoke or chew while mixing or applying. Wash exposed skin and contaminated clothing after work.

Formulation-level Indian label evidence warns that Fipronil 5% SC is toxic to honey bees and aquatic organisms. Do not use it in aquaculture, allow it to enter drains or water bodies, or apply during active pollination. Follow the current Salvo label for drift, runoff, re-entry and disposal directions.

If exposure or illness occurs, stop work, move away from the source, take the product label or container and obtain medical help promptly. Do not self-medicate. Store the sealed original container upright in a locked, cool, dry, ventilated place away from food, feed, children and animals. Never reuse an empty pesticide container.

Use with careSafety Disclaimer

Always read and follow the current official Coromandel Salvo SC label and leaflet. The physical pack controls identity, approved crop and pest, dose, water volume, timing, maximum applications, re-entry, waiting period, PPE, first aid, environmental precautions, storage and disposal. Keep this catalog record Offline until its pack units, physical label and image, prices, net quantities and shipping data are reconciled.
