Rulout works by "tricking" the plant's enzymes. It is a systemic herbicide, meaning it moves inside the plant's sap stream.

1. Absorption: The liquid is sprayed on the green foliage. Special surfactants help the droplet spread and penetrate the waxy leaf surface.
2. Translocation: Once inside, the active ingredient moves via the phloem (sugar transport channels) down to the roots and rhizomes.
3. Inhibition: It blocks the EPSPS enzyme, which creates essential amino acids. Without these proteins, the plant starves and dies completely within 7 to 21 days.

Note: This is a slow-kill process. Visible yellowing starts in 7 days, and complete death occurs in about 3 weeks.

The Golden Rule: Always follow the "Dose per Acre" for accurate results. Using less will result in weed regrowth; using too much wastes money.
