Rifit works by creating a chemical layer on the soil surface under the paddy water.

1. Uptake: As weed seeds germinate, their emerging shoots (coleoptiles) absorb the chemical from the treated soil/water interface.
2. Inhibition: The active ingredient stops the production of VLCFAs (Fatty Acids) needed for cell membrane growth. This prevents the weed cells from dividing.
3. Elimination: The weed seedling dies before it can surface, while the rice plant (protected by the Safener) grows healthy and unaffected.

Note: Weeds that manage to emerge often show "buggy-whipping" (tightly rolled leaves) and die shortly after.

The Golden Rule: Always follow the "Dose per Acre" for accurate results.

*For spray application (rarely used for this product), use 100-120 Liters of water. Sand mix is preferred.

• Timing: Apply within 0 to 5 days after transplanting (DAT). Weeds must be in the germination or 1-leaf stage.
• Mixing (Sand Method): Mix the recommended dose with 10–20 kg of dry sand or granular fertilizer (Urea). Broadcast evenly across the field.
• Coverage: Ensure standing water of 2–5 cm depth in the field. Retain this water for 2–3 days after application. Do not drain!
• Safety: Always wear PPE (gloves, mask, goggles). Wash hands thoroughly after use.
