Predator acts as a potent inhibitor of the enzyme Acetylcholinesterase (AChE). This enzyme is responsible for stopping nerve signals. When Predator disables it, the pest's nervous system goes into overdrive.

1. Contact: The chemical enters through the pest's outer shell (cuticle) immediately upon spraying.
2. Ingestion: Caterpillars eating treated cotton bolls or leaves ingest the toxin, which activates inside their gut.
3. Systemic Failure: The pest experiences tremors, paralysis, and eventually stops feeding and dies due to respiratory failure.

Note: The active ingredient is metabolized into the "oxon" form inside the insect, which is the actual lethal agent.
