Pexalon works through Target Site Desensitization. Unlike neonicotinoids that over-excite the insect's nervous system, Triflumezopyrim "silences" it.

  1. Contact & Systemic Action: Upon spraying, the chemical moves upward in the plant (acropetal action) and reaches the stem base where hoppers hide.
  2. Nerve Block: It binds to the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor and locks the ion channel closed.
  3. The Result: The insect enters immediate paralysis, stops feeding instantly (preventing virus transmission), and dies from starvation and nervous failure.

  • Timing: Apply as a single preventative shot between 45 to 60 Days After Transplanting (DAT), from early tillering to panicle initiation.
