Pendamil acts as a "mitotic poison" that targets the cell division process in weeds.

1. Barrier Formation: Upon spraying, Pendamil forms a thin chemical film on the top 1-2 inches of the soil surface.
2. Absorption: As weed seedlings germinate, their emerging roots or shoots touch this treated layer and absorb the chemical.
3. Growth Arrest: The active ingredient binds to tubulin in the plant cells, stopping cell division. The weed seedling dies before it can even emerge from the ground.

Note: Crop seeds are safe because they are sown deeper than the chemical layer.

The Golden Rule: Always follow the "Dose per Acre" for accurate results. Ensure high water volume (200L/Acre) for complete soil coverage.

*PHI = Pre-Harvest Interval: The minimum number of days to wait between the last spray and harvesting. For Pendamil, safety is ensured by application timing (0-3 days after sowing).

• Timing: Apply within 0 to 3 days after sowing (DAS). The soil must be moist for the chemical to bind effectively.
• Mixing: Conduct a physical compatibility check ("Jar Test") before tank-mixing with other herbicides.
• Coverage (Reverse Foot Method): Always walk backward while spraying ("Reverse Foot" technique). This prevents you from stepping on the treated soil and breaking the chemical barrier.
• Safety: Always wear PPE (gloves, mask, goggles). Pendamil leaves a yellow/orange stain, so avoid contact with skin and clothing. Wash hands thoroughly after use.
