HPM Nidar Myclobutanil 10% WP Fungicide: Product Overview

HPM Nidar is a systemic fungicide containing Myclobutanil 10% WP. HPM identifies Nidar as a triazole fungicide with protective and curative activity. The current Government of India major-use list registers this formulation for apple scab, grape powdery mildew, and chilli powdery mildew, leaf spot and die-back.

Myclobutanil belongs to FRAC Group 3, the demethylation inhibitor (DMI) fungicides. Use Nidar only on a crop and disease printed on the current container label. Diagnosis matters: a fungicide will not control insect, mite, nutrient or bacterial problems.

Why farmers choose itWhy Choose HPM Nidar?
  • Systemic fungicide: The active ingredient is absorbed into treated plant tissue, supporting protection beyond the spray deposit.
  • Protective and curative activity: HPM describes Nidar for prevention and control of the label-listed fungal diseases.
  • Focused registered uses: The approved scope is clearly defined for apple, grape and chilli, helping farmers avoid unsupported crop claims.
  • Resistance-group clarity: FRAC Group 3 identification makes it easier to plan label-compliant resistance management with a qualified crop adviser.
  • Wettable-powder formulation: The 10% WP formulation is supplied in measured packs for label-directed preparation.

Product scienceHow Myclobutanil Works

Myclobutanil is a demethylation inhibitor. FRAC places it in Group 3 because it acts at C14-demethylase in fungal sterol biosynthesis. Interfering with this pathway restricts production of sterols needed for normal fungal membrane development and growth.

Group 3 is a single-site mode-of-action group. FRAC advises that cross-resistance can occur among DMI fungicides active against the same fungus. Do not treat another Group 3 product as a true rotation partner merely because its trade name is different.

How to applyVerified Dose, Water Volume and PHI

The Government of India major-use table expresses the formulation concentration as 0.04%. Keep the crop-specific water volume and pre-harvest interval (PHI) together; do not transfer one crop's directions to another.

CropFormulation concentrationWater volumePHI
Apple0.04%10 L per tree21 days
Grape0.04%500 L/ha15 days
Chilli0.04%500 L/ha3 days

PHI is the minimum interval between the last application and harvest. The current pack label supplied with the product is the final instruction; use its measurement, spray method and restrictions.

How to applyApplication and Resistance-Management Guidance
  • Confirm the diagnosis: Match both crop and fungal disease to the current label before preparing the spray.
  • Measure accurately: Follow the label's mixing order for the WP formulation and maintain agitation as directed.
  • Cover the target: Use the label-specified water volume and application equipment for even coverage without runoff.
  • Protect Group 3: Follow label limits and obtain local advice on rotation with an effective, non-cross-resistant mode of action.
  • Weather and mixing: Do not rely on a fixed rain-fast period or tank-mix claim unless it appears on the current label.
Use with careSafety and Disclaimer
