Nagata attacks the insect's nervous system on two fronts, making it very difficult for pests to survive.

  1. The Shock (Cypermethrin): It modulates the sodium channels in the nerve cells. This keeps the "gates" open, causing the nerves to fire repeatedly. The insect loses coordination, suffers tremors, and stops moving (Knockdown Effect).
  2. The Block (Ethion): It inhibits the enzyme Acetylcholinesterase (AChE). This prevents the insect from "turning off" its nerve signals, leading to paralysis and energy depletion.
  3. Synergistic Defense: Ethion also acts as a "bodyguard" for Cypermethrin. It occupies the insect's detox enzymes, allowing the Cypermethrin to remain lethal for longer, even against semi-resistant pests.
