HPM Mitekill Propargite 57% EC Acaricide

HPM Mitekill is a non-systemic contact acaricide containing Propargite 57% EC. HPM lists it for specific mites in tea, chilli, apple and brinjal.

Propargite belongs to IRAC Group 12C and inhibits mitochondrial ATP synthase, disrupting energy production in susceptible mites. Because Mitekill acts by contact, accurate crop identification, correct timing and thorough spray coverage are important. Use it only on the crop–mite combinations stated on the supplied label.

  1. Contact exposure: The spray must reach the infested leaf surfaces because the product is non-systemic.
  2. Energy disruption: Propargite inhibits mitochondrial ATP synthase in susceptible mites.
  3. Rotation planning: Avoid repeatedly treating successive mite generations with Group 12C. Where another treatment is justified, select an effective acaricide from a different IRAC group only according to its own label and local expert advice.

Important: This rotation guidance does not mean the products should be mixed or applied together. Never transfer Mitekill's dose, water volume or waiting period to another product.

  • Coverage: Calibrate the sprayer and cover the crop canopy evenly, including infested leaf surfaces, without causing runoff.
  • Mixing: Do not combine Mitekill with another pesticide or adjuvant unless the current labels and qualified local advice explicitly permit it.
  • Protection: Wear the label-required chemical-resistant gloves, protective clothing and eye/face protection; avoid breathing spray mist or vapour.
  • Environment: Prevent drift, runoff or wash water from entering ponds, streams, drains or irrigation channels.
