Melt works in a unique way to stop the fungus before it damages the plant. It operates on two levels:

1. Starves the Fungus: It inhibits phospholipid biosynthesis. Simply put, it stops the fungus from building its cell walls, causing it to collapse and die.
2. Prevents Penetration: Even if a spore lands on the leaf, Melt prevents it from forming the "infection peg" (the needle used to pierce the leaf), stopping the disease from entering the plant.
3. Systemic Shield: Once sprayed, it travels Up (to the panicle) and Down (to the roots), creating a full-body shield for the rice plant.

Note: This unique action makes it excellent for preventing resistance when rotated with other fungicides.

The Golden Rule: Always follow the "Dose per Acre" for accurate results.

*PHI = Pre-Harvest Interval: The minimum number of days to wait between the last spray and harvesting.

• Timing: Apply primarily during the Tillering Stage (Preventive) or the Booting Stage (Just before panicle emerges). Avoid spraying too close to harvest due to the 60-day PHI.
• Mixing: Melt is compatible with most insecticides like Cartap or Coragen. However, do not mix with alkaline substances like Bordeaux mixture.
• Coverage: Use a minimum of 200 liters of water per acre. Ensure the spray reaches the lower stems and neck area for maximum protection.
• Safety: Always wear PPE (gloves, mask, goggles). Wash hands thoroughly after use. Avoid spraying near fish ponds as it is toxic to fish.
