Mandate works differently from older poisons. It is a "Pro-Insecticide," meaning it is activated by sunlight and the insect's own body metabolism.

1. Penetration (Translaminar Action): Upon spraying, Mandate penetrates the leaf surface, reaching pests hiding on the underside (abaxial surface) where regular sprays can't reach.
2. Activation & Energy Block: Once inside the insect, it converts into a toxic carbodiimide. This blocks the insect's ability to produce ATP (energy).
3. Paralysis & Starvation: Without energy, the insect becomes paralyzed. It stops feeding immediately and dies within 24 to 72 hours.

Note: Because it needs sunlight for activation, it is highly effective when applied on bright days.

The Golden Rule: Always follow the "Dose per Acre" for accurate results. Use high water volume (200 Liters) for best coverage.

• Timing: Spray at the first sign of infestation (Economic Threshold Level). For whiteflies, spray when you see 6-8 nymphs per leaf. Avoid spraying when honey bees are active (spray in late evening).
• Mixing: This is a Wettable Powder (WP). First, mix the powder in a small amount of water to make a smooth paste (slurry), then add it to the main tank. Stir continuously.
• Coverage: Use high water volume. Ensure the underside of leaves is covered, as that is where whiteflies and mites live.
• Safety: Always wear PPE (gloves, mask, goggles). Wash hands thoroughly after use. Do not mix with alkaline products like Bordeaux mixture.
