Kocide 3000 acts as a broad-spectrum contact fungicide and bactericide. It works through a "Multi-Site" mechanism, making it difficult for pests to develop resistance.

1. Contact & Release: When mixed with water and sprayed, the micro-granules release biologically active Copper ions ($Cu^{2+}$) onto the leaf surface.
2. Absorption: Fungal spores or bacteria absorb these ions upon contact.
3. Cellular Destruction: The copper ions disrupt the pathogen's enzymes and cell proteins, effectively destroying the cell membrane and preventing infection.

Note: It acts primarily as a preventive shield. It prevents spores from germinating but does not cure diseases once they have deeply penetrated the tissue.
