Why farmers choose itWhy Choose HPM Khaleesi?
  • Selective grass-weed control: Designed for susceptible grassy weeds in approved broadleaf crops; it is not a general broadleaf-weed or sedge treatment.
  • Post-emergence action: Applied after crop and weed emergence at the label-listed crop stage.
  • Systemic movement: Absorbed through treated foliage and moved within susceptible weeds toward growing points.
  • Defined mode of action: Quizalofop-ethyl is an ACCase inhibitor in HRAC/WSSA Group 1, legacy Group A.
  • Crop-specific directions: India’s approved-use information provides separate dose, water, timing and PHI values for each registered crop.

Product scienceHow Khaleesi Works

Quizalofop-ethyl is taken up by the leaves of susceptible grassy weeds and moves to actively growing tissue. It inhibits ACCase, an enzyme required for fatty-acid production and new growth. This action is selective in the approved broadleaf crops when the product is used exactly as labelled. HPM notes that affected weeds may show colour change before growth stops; response speed varies with weed stage and field conditions, so performance should not be described as instant or guaranteed.

How to applyRegistered Crops, Weeds, Dose and PHI

The table below follows the approved Quizalofop-Ethyl 5% w/w EC label. Use one application at the vegetative stage and observe a 24-hour re-entry period. The Khaleesi pack label remains the final authority.

How to applyApplication Best Practices
  • Equipment: Use a knapsack or high-volume sprayer fitted with a flat-fan or flood-jet nozzle.
  • Conditions: Prefer morning or evening application. Do not spray during rain, strong wind or hot sunny conditions.
  • Coverage: Direct the spray evenly onto actively growing grassy weeds while avoiding drift onto sensitive vegetation.
  • Mixing: Follow the label mixing order. Do not combine with insecticides or plant growth regulators, and do not assume compatibility with another input.
  • Re-entry: Keep people and animals out of the treated area for at least 24 hours.
