HPM Hindustan Ziram 27% SC: Product Overview

HPM Hindustan Ziram is a liquid Ziram 27% SC contact fungicide for specified fungal diseases on grape, potato, tomato, bean and apple. Its Indian label identifies it as a foliar contact treatment, so performance depends on using the approved rate and obtaining even coverage of the crop surface.

This is a crop-protection fungicide, not a systemic product, fertiliser or nutrient input. Use it only for the crops and diseases listed on the current pack label. The available variants on this page are 500 ml, 1 litre and 5 litres.

Why farmers choose itWhy Choose HPM Hindustan Ziram?
  • Defined label scope: Registered uses cover grape downy mildew and anthracnose, potato and tomato early blight, bean anthracnose, and apple scab.
  • Contact protection: Ziram remains on treated surfaces and works as a protectant fungicide; thorough foliar coverage is essential.
  • Multi-site classification: FRAC places Ziram in Group M03, the dithiocarbamate multi-site contact group.
  • Clear stewardship limits: The label provides crop-specific PHIs, a 24-hour re-entry interval and a maximum of two sprays.
  • Multiple pack choices: Select 500 ml, 1 litre or 5 litres according to the area to be treated and the label rate.

Product scienceHow It Works

Ziram is a multi-site contact fungicide. After correct foliar application, it acts on the treated plant surface rather than moving systemically through the crop. Uniform coverage matters because untreated tissue is not protected in the same way. FRAC classifies Ziram in Group M03; this classification describes its mode-of-action group and does not replace the crop, rate or timing directions on the Indian label.

How to applyDosage, Water Volume and PHI

The current Indian formulation label states the same hectare rate for the approved crops below. Keep the total formulation dose per hectare unchanged if spray-water volume is adjusted for crop growth and coverage.

CropFormulation DoseWaterPHI
Grape2300–3500 ml/ha750–1000 L/haNot established on cited label
Potato2300–3500 ml/ha750–1000 L/ha3 days
Tomato2300–3500 ml/ha750–1000 L/ha3 days
Bean2300–3500 ml/ha750–1000 L/ha4 days
Apple2300–3500 ml/ha750–1000 L/ha21 days

Re-entry: 24 hours after each spray. Maximum frequency: two sprays. For grape, a PHI is not established in the cited label; do not treat that as zero days—follow the current pack label and local residue guidance.

How to applyApplication and Stewardship
  • Measure the required product, disperse it first in a small quantity of clean water, then add the remaining label water with thorough agitation.
  • Apply as a foliar spray with sufficient water for uniform leaf coverage. Do not use it as a soil treatment.
  • Give the first application when the listed disease appears, preferably in the early morning or evening. Do not spray in windy weather, during hot hours, on wet foliage or when rain is imminent.
  • Do not tank-mix Hindustan Ziram with any other chemical.
  • Do not underdose, overdose or overlap spray passes. Follow the current HPM container label if it differs from this summary.
