Product scienceHow Hifit Works

HPM describes Hifit as a pre-emergence to early post-emergence rice herbicide. Pretilachlor is taken up mainly by the hypocotyls, mesocotyls and coleoptiles, and to a lesser extent by the roots, of germinating weeds. It belongs to HRAC/WSSA Group 15, the group associated with inhibition of very-long-chain fatty-acid processes. This interrupts early weed growth. Use the mode-of-action group as a stewardship reference, not as permission to create an unapproved tank mix or spray sequence.
