HPM Hi-Imida Imidacloprid 17.8% SL Systemic Insecticide

HPM Hi-Imida is a systemic insecticide containing Imidacloprid 17.8% SL. It is intended for the specific crop-and-pest uses stated on the Indian product label, including selected sucking pests and termites in crops listed by HPM.

Imidacloprid is a neonicotinoid classified in IRAC Group 4A. Hi-Imida is not a fertilizer, biostimulant or universal preventive treatment. Apply it only after confirming the crop, target pest, dose, water volume, timing and waiting period on the supplied pack and leaflet.

Product scienceHow Hi-Imida Works

Imidacloprid acts on insect nicotinic acetylcholine receptors, disrupting normal nerve-signal transmission. The formulation is systemic: active ingredient absorbed by treated plant tissue can move upward within the plant. This can help reach sap-feeding pests on label-approved crops, but it does not make every foliar, soil or drench use automatically permitted.

For resistance management, avoid repeated reliance on IRAC Group 4A against successive pest generations. Follow the product label and a locally appropriate rotation plan using effective products from different mode-of-action groups where permitted.

How to applyApplication and Resistance-Management Checklist
  • Confirm the crop and target pest on the supplied label before opening the pack.
  • Measure only the labelled dose and calibrate application equipment for the stated water volume and method.
  • Apply at the labelled pest threshold and crop stage; do not use Hi-Imida as an unlabelled blanket preventive treatment.
  • Do not tank-mix it with a fungicide, fertilizer, plant growth regulator or adjuvant unless the current label expressly permits that combination.
  • Protect pollinators and beneficial insects by following all label restrictions, timing requirements and spray-drift precautions.
