Why farmers choose itWhy Choose HPM Hexahit?
  • Verified formulation: Hexaconazole 5% in an emulsifiable-concentrate formulation.
  • Systemic activity: the active ingredient is absorbed by treated plant tissue and acts within the plant against susceptible fungi.
  • Protective and curative positioning: HPM describes both actions when the product is used at the authorised crop, timing and rate.
  • Seven HPM-listed crop uses: apple, rice, groundnut, mango, soybean, tea and grapes.
  • Resistance-aware information: the FRAC Group 3 classification is stated clearly so growers can follow label-led DMI stewardship.

Product scienceHow It Works: Mode of Action

Hexaconazole is a FRAC Group 3 demethylation-inhibitor fungicide. It interferes with the fungal C14-demethylase enzyme used in sterol biosynthesis, disrupting formation and function of membranes required by susceptible fungi.

  1. Deposition and absorption: the correctly diluted EC spray reaches and is absorbed by treated plant surfaces.
  2. Systemic movement: absorbed active ingredient moves within treated tissue according to its systemic properties.
  3. Sterol inhibition: Group 3 activity interferes with fungal membrane development, helping stop susceptible disease growth when used at the authorised timing.

Resistance note: FRAC considers DMIs that act at the same target site to be cross-resistant within the group. Follow the current label's maximum applications and use effective, authorised non-cross-resistant modes of action in the disease programme where directed.

How to applyDosage and Application Guide

Use the exact crop-specific dose, dilution, spray-water volume and pre-harvest interval printed on the current physical label. HPM's online recommendation table contains inconsistent dose-unit formatting for this liquid EC product, so its numerical entries are not reproduced here.

  • Confirm the use: apply only where the current label matches both the crop and disease.
  • Timing: use at the label-directed preventive or early disease stage; do not treat severe infection by simply increasing the dose.
  • Mixing: add the measured product to clean water in the label-directed sequence and maintain agitation for a uniform emulsion.
  • Coverage: use the authorised water volume, nozzle and pressure to cover susceptible plant surfaces evenly without runoff or drift.
  • Compatibility: do not tank mix unless both current labels and an authorised adviser confirm compatibility, crop safety and the correct sequence.
  • Intervals: follow the label's re-treatment interval, maximum applications, re-entry period and waiting period for the specific crop.
Use with careSafety and Disclaimer

Read the complete current label and leaflet before opening, measuring, mixing or spraying. Wear the label-specified PPE, avoid inhalation, skin and eye contact, drift and contamination of water, and keep the product in its original container away from food, feed, children and animals. Follow the label for first aid, storage, disposal, re-entry and harvest intervals.
