Eltra works differently from standard poisons. It targets the insect's nervous system responsible for feeding mechanics.
- Contact & Ingestion: The pest touches the treated plant or tries to drink the sap.
- Stylet Paralysis: The active ingredient ($C_{10}H_{11}N_5O$) locks the insect's mouthparts (stylet). It physically cannot suck plant juice anymore.
- Starvation: Although the pest may look alive for 2-4 days, it is harmless. It eventually dies from starvation and dehydration.

3. Can I mix Eltra with other fungicides?
Yes, Eltra is compatible with most common rice fungicides and insecticides. However, always perform a small "jar test" before mixing a full tank.
4. Is this the same as the Eltra painkiller or the Analyzer machine?
No. This is exclusively the agricultural insecticide by FMC. The pharmaceutical "Eltra" and the "ELTRA" elemental analyzers are completely different products from different companies.
5. What is the waiting period before harvest?
You must wait at least 19 days after the last spray before harvesting your rice to ensure residues are safe for consumption.
