Glufosinate inhibits glutamine synthetase in susceptible weeds. This disrupts nitrogen metabolism and causes ammonia accumulation, leading to loss of photosynthetic function and damage to treated tissue. Adequate coverage of green weed foliage is important because movement within the plant is limited compared with highly systemic herbicides.

A mode-of-action group supports resistance planning, but it does not prove that a weed population is resistant or that one product will replace another at the same dose. Avoid repeated reliance on HRAC Group 10 alone. Combine label-compliant chemical use with cultural or mechanical weed management where practical. Any separately chosen rotation product must have its own current Indian label for the crop, weed and timing.

PHI = pre-harvest interval. These Government of India values are per hectare. Do not replace them with a universal pump, tank or per-litre dose.

• Identify the crop and weed species, then confirm both on the current physical Dhavak label before measuring the product.
• Apply as a directed post-emergence foliar spray to actively growing weeds. Prevent spray and drift from contacting tea foliage, cotton plants, nearby crops and other desirable vegetation.
• Use the registered formulation rate and water volume for the treatment area. Do not extrapolate one crop's directions to the other crop.
• Use clean water and follow the physical label for mixing order, nozzle, equipment, spray timing, maximum applications and re-entry. These Dhavak-specific details were not independently verified here.
