Dhanuka Dhanpreet Insecticide Overview

Dhanuka Dhanpreet is a systemic and translaminar neonicotinoid insecticide containing Acetamiprid 20% SP. It is registered for specified aphids, jassids, whitefly, chilli thrips and rice brown planthopper. Correct crop-specific rates are low and must be measured accurately.

Use note: Use only the exact crop–pest combination and rate on the current Indian label. Do not extend the listing to additional crops shown in marketing material unless the supplied pack authorises them.

Why farmers choose itKey Product Benefits
  • Systemic movement: Acetamiprid is taken up by treated plants and moves to help protect growing tissue.
  • Translaminar activity: Treatment can move across the leaf surface for improved coverage of sheltered sucking pests.
  • Defined low-dose uses: Current label rates range from 50 to 100 g formulation/ha.
  • Group 4A chemistry: Effective resistance management requires rotation away from Group 4A where another treatment is needed.
  • Store pack sizes: This listing offers 100 g and 250 g variants.

Product scienceHow Dhanpreet Works

Acetamiprid belongs to IRAC Group 4A. It binds to nicotinic acetylcholine receptors in the insect nervous system, causing continuous stimulation, paralysis and death in susceptible pests.

  1. Application: The crop receives a calibrated foliar spray at the label rate.
  2. Uptake: Systemic and translaminar movement helps reach feeding sites.
  3. Feeding disruption: Receptor action suppresses feeding and damages susceptible sucking pests.
  4. Rotation: Avoid repeated Group 4A use against successive pest generations.

Useful detailsHow to Apply Dhanpreet
  • Confirm the crop and target pest and apply only when the label threshold or local advisory indicates treatment.
  • Measure the low formulation rate accurately; do not guess from spoon or cap sizes.
  • Use 500–600 L water/ha and calibrated foliar equipment for thorough, uniform coverage.
  • Apply during calm weather and avoid rain, strong wind and active bee-foraging periods.
  • Observe the crop-specific pre-harvest interval before harvest.
  • Rotate to an effective label-approved insecticide from a different IRAC group when another treatment is required.
Use with careSafety and Stewardship
  • Wear the protective equipment specified on the current pack while measuring, mixing and spraying.
  • Keep the product and spray away from children, animals, food, feed and water sources.
  • Avoid application during active pollinator foraging and prevent spray or washings from reaching aquatic areas.
  • Do not exceed the crop-specific rate or shorten the stated pre-harvest interval.
  • Do not assume tank-mix compatibility; use a mixture only where both labels allow it and crop safety has been confirmed.
Use with careSafety and Disclaimer

Always read and follow the current official Dhanuka Dhanpreet label and leaflet. The physical pack is the final authority for authorised crop–pest uses, rate, water volume, timing, number of applications, resistance management, re-entry, pre-harvest interval, pollinator precautions, storage and disposal.
