Dhanuka Deva Shakti Insecticide Overview

Dhanuka Deva Shakti is a broad-spectrum synthetic pyrethroid insecticide containing Lambda-Cyhalothrin 5% EC. It is registered for specified chewing and sucking pests across labelled field, pulse, vegetable, groundnut and mango uses. Lambda-Cyhalothrin acts mainly through contact and ingestion.

Use note: Use only the exact crop–pest row, formulation rate, water volume and pre-harvest interval printed on the current Indian label. The product is a contact and stomach-action pyrethroid; do not present it as a systemic insecticide.

Why farmers choose itKey Product Benefits
  • Broad labelled spectrum: Uses include borers, bollworms, thrips, jassids, leafhoppers, leaf miner, mites and mango hoppers.
  • Rapid pyrethroid action: Lambda-Cyhalothrin disrupts insect nerve signalling after contact or ingestion.
  • Photostable chemistry: Dhanuka positions the active for dependable field performance when applied at the labelled rate.
  • Resistance-management role: IRAC Group 3A products should be rotated with effective insecticides from different groups.
  • Pack-size choice: This store listing offers 100 ml, 250 ml, 500 ml and 1 litre variants.

Product scienceHow Deva Shakti Works

Lambda-Cyhalothrin belongs to IRAC Group 3A. It keeps voltage-gated sodium channels open in insect nerve membranes, causing repeated nerve firing, loss of coordination, paralysis and death.

  1. Exposure: Label-listed pests contact spray deposits or ingest treated plant material.
  2. Nerve disruption: Sodium-channel modulation produces rapid knockdown in susceptible insects.
  3. Crop protection: Effective control depends on early timing and uniform canopy coverage.
  4. Rotation: Avoid repeated exclusive use of Group 3A against successive pest generations.

The chilli regulatory row lists mites, not termites. Use the crop-specific rate and do not treat the mango per-litre direction as a universal instruction for other crops.

Useful detailsHow to Apply Deva Shakti
  • Scout the crop and apply at the labelled pest threshold or initial infestation stage.
  • Select the exact crop–pest row and measure the stated formulation rate.
  • Use calibrated foliar-spray equipment and the crop-specific water volume for uniform coverage.
  • Prevent drift to neighbouring crops, dwellings, grazing areas and water bodies.
  • Avoid spraying during active bee foraging or when rain or strong wind would compromise application.
  • Rotate with an effective label-approved insecticide from a different IRAC group when another treatment is required.
Use with careSafety and Stewardship
  • Wear the personal protective equipment specified on the current label while measuring, mixing and spraying.
  • Pyrethroids are highly hazardous to fish and aquatic organisms; keep spray, runoff and washings out of water.
  • Avoid application during active pollinator foraging and follow every label precaution for bees and beneficial insects.
  • Observe the crop-specific pre-harvest interval before harvest.
  • Do not tank-mix unless both labels allow it and compatibility and crop safety have been confirmed.
Use with careSafety and Disclaimer

Always read and follow the current official Dhanuka Deva Shakti label and leaflet. The physical pack is the final authority for authorised crop–pest uses, dose, water volume, timing, number of applications, resistance management, re-entry, pre-harvest interval, environmental precautions, storage and disposal.
