Parijat Demolit is a non-selective post-emergence herbicide containing Glufosinate Ammonium 13.5% w/w SL, equivalent to 15% w/v. Its Indian labelled uses are directed weed control in cotton and tea. The spray must contact actively growing weeds while being kept off the crop.

Glufosinate belongs to HRAC/WSSA Group 10. It inhibits glutamine synthetase, disrupting normal nitrogen metabolism and causing ammonia accumulation in susceptible plants. This rapidly interferes with photosynthesis and membrane function.
