Parijat Dahan is a granular pre-emergence herbicide developed for weed control in transplanted rice. It combines Oxadiargyl 1% and Pretilachlor 6% in a ready-to-broadcast granule formulation.

  1. Oxadiargyl — HRAC Group 14: inhibits protoporphyrinogen oxidase (PPO), leading to membrane damage in emerging susceptible weeds.
  2. Pretilachlor — HRAC Group 15: inhibits very-long-chain fatty-acid synthesis and disrupts early seedling growth.
  3. Combined pre-emergence activity: the two sites of action support control of the label-listed weed spectrum during early rice establishment.

Two active ingredients do not remove the need for resistance management. Follow the current label and local agronomic guidance; do not add another herbicide or adjuvant unless the label expressly permits it.

Maintain a thin water film of approximately 5–7 cm while broadcasting. Parijat directs that the field should not be drained and fresh irrigation should not be given for the next 2–3 days.
