HPM Cyperhit-10: Product Overview

HPM Cyperhit-10 contains Cypermethrin 10% w/w EC and is a non-systemic synthetic pyrethroid insecticide with contact and stomach action.

The DPPQS major-use table for Cypermethrin 10% EC lists crop-specific uses against selected caterpillar pests in cotton, cabbage, okra, brinjal, wheat and sunflower. Each crop has its own formulation rate, water-volume range and pre-harvest interval, so there is no single universal dose for every crop or spray tank.

Product scienceHow Cypermethrin 10% EC Works

Cypermethrin is classified by IRAC in Group 3A. Group 3A insecticides modulate voltage-gated sodium channels in the insect nervous system, disrupting normal nerve signalling and producing hyperexcitation and nerve block. Cyperhit-10 acts through contact and ingestion; it is not described here as systemic.

IRAC grouping is also important for resistance stewardship. Do not treat successive pest generations repeatedly with insecticides from the same mode-of-action group. Follow the current label and a locally appropriate integrated pest-management programme.

PHI means pre-harvest interval. These are per-hectare values from the public DPPQS major-use table. Do not create a universal ml-per-litre rate by dividing one crop's dose into another crop's water volume. The current pack label supplied with the product takes precedence.

How to applyApplication Guidance
  • Identify correctly: Confirm both the crop and target pest before selecting the matching table row.
  • Measure accurately: Use the crop-specific formulation rate and water-volume range; calibrate the sprayer for the treated area.
  • Mix by the label: Follow the current EC mixing order on the pack, maintain agitation and prepare only the quantity required for the application.
  • Coverage and drift: Apply with suitable equipment for uniform crop coverage and prevent drift beyond the target area.
  • Programme details: Timing, spray interval, maximum applications, re-entry and weather restrictions must come from the current label or authorised local guidance.
  • No automatic tank mix: Do not mix with another pesticide, fertiliser or adjuvant unless the label or a qualified adviser confirms compatibility and legal use.
Use with careSafety and Disclaimer

Read the current label and leaflet before use. Wear appropriate protective clothing, chemical-resistant gloves, eye protection, boots and a suitable mask. Avoid inhaling spray and avoid skin or eye contact. Do not eat, drink or smoke while handling. Wash after use, keep away from children, food and feed, prevent drift, and do not contaminate water bodies. Follow the pack for first aid, toxicity classification, antidote, re-entry, storage and disposal.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Is Cyperhit-10 systemic?

No. HPM's technical description identifies it as non-systemic with contact and stomach action.

2. Can one dose be used for every crop?

No. The registered formulation rate, water volume and PHI vary by crop; use the matching table row and current label.

3. Are Cyperhit-10 and Cyperhit-25 the same?

No. Cyperhit-25 is a separate Cypermethrin 25% EC product. Do not transfer its rate or directions to this 10% EC formulation.

4. Is sugarcane included in this table?

No. Sugarcane appears on HPM's web page but was not found in the DPPQS major-use table used for this verification, so it is omitted pending the current physical label.

5. Which pack should I select?

Choose the required variant shown on this product page and confirm the pack label, seal and quantity when it arrives.
