IRAC classifies profenofos as a Group 1B acetylcholinesterase inhibitor. It disrupts normal nerve-signal regulation in susceptible target pests. This target-site classification is useful for resistance planning, but it does not justify claims of guaranteed control or zero resistance risk.

Use only as a directed foliar application and obtain uniform crop coverage with the water volume stated for the registered crop. Do not describe Curacron as systemic, curative or universally translaminar unless the current Indian pack label expressly supports that claim.

PHI means pre-harvest interval. The official major-use table reports the rates per hectare. Do not replace them with an invented universal per-acre or per-litre dose.

• Confirm the target: Use only for a crop-and-pest combination printed on the current Indian label.
• Measure by the label: Use the formulation rate and water volume for the relevant row above; calibrate the sprayer before application.
• Coverage: Apply uniformly without drift, runoff or contamination of neighbouring crops and water.
• Resistance management: Do not rely repeatedly on IRAC Group 1B against successive pest generations. Follow current label and local expert guidance when selecting a different mode of action.
• Mixing: No tank-mix recommendation is made here. Check the current pack label and obtain qualified local advice before considering compatibility.

Syngenta classifies Curacron as a highly toxic poison. Wear protective clothing, chemical-resistant gloves, eye and face protection, a suitable mask, and boots while measuring, mixing and spraying. Avoid inhalation and skin, eye or mouth contact. Do not eat, drink, smoke or chew during handling, and wash thoroughly after use. Avoid application when bees are actively foraging and prevent spray, drift, washings and runoff from reaching aquaculture or other water bodies.

Keep the original container sealed, locked and upright in a cool, dry, ventilated pesticide-storage area away from children, food, feed, seed and ignition sources. Never reuse the empty container. If exposure is suspected, stop work, move the person away from exposure, rinse contaminated skin or eyes with clean water as appropriate, and obtain urgent medical help with the pack and label. Any antidotal treatment must be administered by a qualified medical professional.
