Nichino Crux Thiamethoxam 25% WG Insecticide - Product Overview

Nichino Crux is a systemic insecticide containing Thiamethoxam 25% WG. It is a neonicotinoid insecticide in IRAC Group 4A, formulated as water-dispersible granules.

The verified Indian use table includes specific foliar and soil-drench applications against selected pests in rice, cotton, okra, mango, wheat, mustard, tomato, brinjal, tea, potato, citrus and cumin. Every crop and method has its own rate, dilution water and waiting period. The current physical Crux label is the final authority for the pack being used.

Product scienceHow Crux Works

Thiamethoxam acts on insect nicotinic acetylcholine receptors and disrupts normal nerve signalling in susceptible pests. Nichino describes Crux as systemic and translocated within the plant. The IRAC code is a resistance-management classification; it does not authorise an unlisted crop, pest, method, dose or spray interval.

Another Thiamethoxam product remains IRAC Group 4A and is a same-active substitute, not a different-mode rotation. Select any rotation product only after checking its own crop, pest, rate, timing, PHI and restrictions. Do not interpret a recommendation card as permission to tank-mix or co-apply products.

How to applyVerified Crops, Target Pests & Application Rates

Nichino's rounded acre rates and the Government formulation table are shown without assistant-calculated conversions. Never create a universal grams-per-litre, pump or tank dose from these values.

How to applyMethod-Specific Application Guidance
  • Crop and pest: Use Crux only on a crop-and-pest combination listed on the current physical label.
  • Measurement: Measure the crop-specific formulation rate accurately. Do not replace it with a universal grams-per-litre, pump or tank dose.
  • Foliar and drench uses: Keep the potato foliar and soil-drench rows separate. Rice-nursery and tomato soil-drench rates are also method-specific.
  • Tomato foliar: The Government table states 2-3 sprays at 10-15 day intervals according to pest intensity after the first spray at initial whitefly appearance.
  • Brinjal and citrus foliar: The stated repeat interval is 15-21 days, with 2-3 sprays according to pest intensity.
  • Tomato soil drench: Apply to the root zone after transplanting once during the crop season.
  • Mixing: Do not add another insecticide, fungicide, herbicide, fertilizer or adjuvant unless the current Crux label expressly permits that mixture.
Use with careSafety & Label Compliance

Read and follow the current physical Crux label and leaflet before use. Wear the personal protective equipment and observe the re-entry interval stated on that pack. Keep the product in its original closed container away from children, animals, food and feed. Avoid exposure and contamination of water or non-target areas. If exposure or illness occurs, stop work and seek medical advice with the label available. Dispose of the empty container exactly as the label and local rules direct.
