Ametryn is a Group 5 photosystem II inhibitor. It interrupts electron transport in susceptible plants, stopping the production of energy needed for normal growth. Because Creepnix has foliar and soil activity, correct timing, soil condition and uniform application are important.

1. Foliar uptake: Actively growing labelled weeds take up the spray.
2. Soil activity: Label-compliant application can help suppress subsequent emergence.
3. Photosynthesis disruption: Susceptible weeds decline after photosystem II electron transport is blocked.

The Government of India major-use listing records 2.0 kg active ingredient/ha, equivalent to 2.5 kg formulation/ha, in 500 L water with a 311-day pre-harvest interval. The current physical label supplied with the product remains the final authority.

• Apply only to the labelled sugarcane use when weeds are actively growing and at the stage printed on the current label; Parijat describes application around the 2–4 leaf weed stage.
• Add the measured product to a small quantity of water and stir thoroughly, then add the remaining required water while maintaining agitation.
• Apply the solution evenly with suitable calibrated equipment and a flat-fan nozzle.
• Avoid spraying when rain is expected within 6–8 hours.
• Prevent spray drift or runoff onto non-target crops, desirable vegetation and water bodies.
• Do not derive a universal tank dose from the hectare rate; maintain the labelled product-to-water ratio and treated area.
