Dhanuka Cover GR Chlorantraniliprole 0.4% w/w GR Insecticide
InsecticidesDhanuka Cover GR Chlorantraniliprole 0.4% GR - Product Overview
Dhanuka Cover GR is a granular insecticide containing Chlorantraniliprole 0.4% w/w. Chlorantraniliprole is an anthranilic diamide in IRAC Group 28, the ryanodine-receptor modulators. The verified directions cover specific lepidopteran borers in rice and sugarcane.
This is a granule product for direct field application, not a liquid or foliar spray concentrate. Match the crop, target pest, formulation rate, placement method, re-entry period and pre-harvest interval to the applicable row. The current Cover GR pack takes priority if it differs from this formulation-level reference.

Product scienceHow Cover GR Works
Chlorantraniliprole modulates insect ryanodine receptors involved in calcium release and muscle function. This disrupts normal muscle activity in susceptible target insects. A different Chlorantraniliprole product remains IRAC Group 28 and is not a different-group resistance rotation.
How to applyCrop, Pest, Granular Rate, Re-entry & PHI
Keep every direction attached to its crop. Paddy and rice are the same crop row. Do not convert this granule direction into one universal g/L, spray tank, pump or sachet dose.
| Crop | Target Pest(s) | Formulation Rate | Water / Method | Re-entry | PHI |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Rice / paddy | Yellow stem borer; paddy leaf folder | 10 kg/ha; label also states 4 kg/acre | No spray-water dilution; uniformly broadcast granules | 24 hours | 53 days |
| Sugarcane | Early shoot borer; top borer | 18.75 kg/ha; label also states 7.5 kg/acre | No spray dilution; place in furrows at planting or at the base of young emerging shoots, then irrigate | 24 hours | 147 days |
PHI means pre-harvest interval. Confirm the complete direction, re-entry period and all safety restrictions on the current Cover GR pack before use.
How to applyApplication & Resistance Care
- Identify the crop and target pest before selecting the applicable row.
- Measure the treated area and apply the labelled quantity of granules uniformly or by the stated sugarcane placement method.
- Do not dissolve Cover GR into foliar spray water or create a universal g/L dose.
- Do not add maize, a tank mix, fertilizer blend, adjuvant, repeat interval or extra application without the current Cover-specific label.
- Use the current label's PPE and avoid application during adverse weather.
- Follow IRAC stewardship and avoid exposing successive pest generations to Group 28 insecticides.
