FMC Corprima Chlorantraniliprole 35% WG - Product Overview

FMC Corprima is a water-dispersible granule insecticide containing Chlorantraniliprole 35% w/w. Its verified Indian crop scope is tomato and okra. The registered targets are tomato fruit borer, plus fruit borer and shoot and fruit borer in okra.

Product scienceHow Corprima Works

Chlorantraniliprole belongs to IRAC Group 28. It modulates insect ryanodine receptors involved in calcium release and muscle function, leading to contraction and paralysis in susceptible target insects. FMC describes Corprima as acting mainly through ingestion and causing exposed pests to stop feeding rapidly. Performance still depends on correct identification, timing, coverage and label-compliant use.

PHI means pre-harvest interval. The current physical Corprima label is the final authority for crops, targets, directions, restrictions and precautions.

How to applyApplication Guidance
  • Confirm the crop and target pest before treatment; do not extend this page to other vegetables or caterpillars.
  • Measure the treated area and calibrate the sprayer to deliver the correct product quantity and 500 L water per hectare.
  • Use 86 g/ha for tomato and 71 g/ha for okra. Do not use a shared 34 g/acre instruction.
  • Do not convert the registered area direction into a universal g/L, fixed tank dose or sachet-per-acre shortcut.
  • Follow the current pack for timing, number of sprays, intervals, re-entry, weather limits, mixing order and permitted compatibility.
Useful detailsResistance Stewardship

Corprima is IRAC Group 28. Another Chlorantraniliprole or Group 28 product is not a different-group rotation. Avoid relying on Group 28 against successive generations of the same pest. Where another treatment is justified, follow local expert guidance and use only an effective product from a different IRAC group that is independently registered for that crop and pest.

Use with careSafety and Label Disclaimer

Read and follow the current FMC Corprima pack label before use. Avoid application during active bee foraging. Keep the product and spray drift away from freshwater, drains, waterways and aquaculture; FMC's SDS states that Corprima is very toxic to aquatic life with long-lasting effects. Follow the label's PPE, first aid, re-entry, storage, disposal, application limits and environmental precautions. Do not use Corprima for an unlisted crop, pest or purpose.
