Clodinafop-propargyl is absorbed through susceptible grass-weed foliage and moves toward actively growing tissue. It inhibits acetyl-CoA carboxylase, commonly abbreviated ACCase, an enzyme needed for fatty-acid synthesis. Interrupting this process stops normal development of new tissue and leads to progressive decline of susceptible weeds.

HRAC/WSSA classifies Clodinafop-propargyl as a Group 1 herbicide. Repeated reliance on the same mode of action can select resistant weed populations. A same-active Related product is therefore a substitute, not a resistance rotation. A different-group recommendation is only a standalone program option where its own label independently matches wheat, Phalaris minor and the required application stage. No recommendation on this page is a tank-mix or simultaneous-use instruction.

PHI = pre-harvest interval. Do not use the 70-day PHI or 500 L/ha water figure published for the different 15% DF formulation. Do not calculate a universal grams-per-litre dose because the labelled water quantity is a range tied to field area.

• Confirm the crop and weed: use only in wheat when the target is Phalaris minor and every condition on the current Clodino Super pack is met.
• Apply post-emergence: HPM states that best results occur when most grass weeds have emerged and are actively growing. Follow the physical pack for the exact crop and weed stage.
• Measure by area: use 160 g/acre in 150–160 L water/acre. Do not guess a one-tank concentration or split a pack without measuring the treated area accurately.
• Plan around rain: HPM says not to apply if rainfall is expected within two hours. This is an application restriction, not a universal guarantee of rainfastness.
• Keep products separate unless authorised: no general compatibility claim is provided. Do not tank-mix, sequence or simultaneously apply another herbicide based on a recommendation card.
