The acre direction is stated on Syngenta India's Chess crop page. The per-hectare active ingredient, formulation, water volume and waiting period are transcribed from the PPQS major-use table dated 1 February 2023. They are separate official presentations, not retailer calculations. Follow the current physical pack if any detail differs.

• Confirm paddy rice and brown planthopper before treating. Inspect the base of rice plants and use local economic-threshold guidance; do not use this page as a calendar-spray instruction.
• Measure the treated area and product accurately. Use clean, calibrated equipment and the pack-directed water volume, nozzle, field-water conditions and spray coverage.
• Direct coverage to the crop base when following the official rice-BPH IPM advice. Do not convert the area rate into one universal grams-per-litre or pump dose.
• Syngenta's promotional page mentions prophylactic use and two rounds, while PPQS IPM says treatment should follow the economic threshold, with repetition only on need. The current label and local crop-protection advice control timing and maximum applications.
• Repeated use of Pymetrozine or another IRAC Group 9B insecticide can select resistance. Where another intervention is independently justified, choose an effective, label-approved product from a different IRAC group and follow local resistance guidance.
• Another Pymetrozine 50% WG trade name is a same-composition substitute, not a different-group rotation.
• Do not tank mix, create an insecticide cocktail, layer products, or assume another insecticide must automatically follow Chess.

• Syngenta's current India page classifies Chess as Danger / Moderately Toxic. Read the current label and leaflet fully before opening.
• Wear every item of personal protective equipment specified on the pack while measuring, mixing, spraying and cleaning equipment. Avoid breathing dust or spray mist and avoid skin or eye contact.
• Do not eat, drink, smoke or clear a nozzle by mouth while handling the product. Wash exposed skin and equipment as directed on the label.
• Prevent drift, runoff, wash water and product from entering neighbouring crops, drains, ponds or other water bodies. Protect people, animals and beneficial organisms according to the label.
• Observe the verified 19-day paddy-rice harvest interval and the pack-directed re-entry precautions.
• Store locked in the original labelled container, away from food, feed, moisture, heat, children and unauthorised access. Never reuse an empty pesticide container.
• If exposure or poisoning is suspected, follow the pack's first-aid directions and obtain medical help promptly with the label or container available. Syngenta states that no specific antidote is known and treatment is symptomatic.

The physical pack is the final authority for approved crop and pest, application threshold and timing, dose, water volume, maximum applications, PHI, PPE, first aid, re-entry, environmental precautions, storage and disposal. Verify current registration, licence, later Gazette and state restrictions, batch validity, identifiers, price and stock before sale.
