Bayer Camalus Insecticide: Product Overview
Bayer Camalus is a suspension-concentrate insecticide containing Tetraniliprole 10.81% w/w + Spirotetramat 21.62% w/w SC. It was registered in India for specified chewing and sucking pests on okra, cabbage, chilli, brinjal and tomato.
Camalus combines two different insecticide target sites. Tetraniliprole is an anthranilic diamide in IRAC Group 28, while Spirotetramat is a tetramic-acid derivative in IRAC Group 23. Bayer describes quick feeding cessation and two-way systemic action that helps protect new plant growth. These benefits do not expand the crop or pest list beyond the registered table below.
The verified formulation rate is 375 ml/ha in 500 L water/ha for every approved row. The pre-harvest interval varies by crop, so match the exact crop, pest and PHI before application. Do not convert the hectare directions into a universal per-litre, per-pump or acres-per-pack claim.
