Propiconazole belongs to the FRAC Group 3 demethylation inhibitors. These fungicides interfere with fungal sterol biosynthesis, restricting pathogen growth. Because products within one FRAC group can share cross-resistance risk, repeated reliance on Group 3 alone is not a complete resistance-management programme.
