The insect nervous system uses GABA-gated chloride channels to regulate nerve activity. Broflanilide acts allosterically at these channels. IRAC describes Group 30 action as inhibition of the GABA-activated chloride channel, which causes hyperexcitation and convulsions. Apply only for a crop and target pest listed on the current label.

For resistance stewardship, IRAC advises treatment-window strategies and rotation to an effective insecticide from a different mode-of-action group for a subsequent pest generation. Do not rely on the marketing phrase “resistance breaker”, do not expose successive generations to Group 30 automatically, and do not treat recommendation cards as instructions to combine products.

PHI = pre-harvest interval. The one-day PHI applies only to the four listed vegetable crops; it does not apply to corn.

PI Industries lists one formulation rate for the five crop rows: 125 ml/ha, equivalent to 25 g active ingredient per hectare. It also directs the user to apply with 500 L/ha water, a hollow-cone nozzle and thorough coverage.
