ADAMA Bipimain Insecticide: Product Overview
ADAMA Bipimain is a suspension-concentrate insecticide and acaricide containing Buprofezin 25% SC. ADAMA describes contact and stomach action and lists chilli, cotton, grapes, mango and rice as its Indian crop scope.
IRAC classifies Buprofezin in Group 16, inhibitors of chitin biosynthesis, type 1. It is an insect growth regulator: ADAMA states that it inhibits moulting of susceptible nymphs and larvae. The company also states that it suppresses oviposition and that treated insects lay sterile eggs. These developmental and reproductive effects must not be rewritten as a claim of instant adult kill.
Bipimain is not an all-crop, all-mite or all-sucking-pest product. Each crop is tied to the exact pest, formulation rate, spray-water volume and pre-harvest interval in the current Government of India major-use table. The current physical ADAMA pack remains the final authority.
