Biostadt Bioclaim Insecticide: Product Overview

Biostadt Bioclaim is a soluble-granule insecticide containing Emamectin Benzoate 5% SG. Biostadt lists it for specified caterpillars, borers, thrips, mites and tea looper and describes translaminar activity in treated foliage.

IRAC classifies Emamectin benzoate in Group 6, the avermectin/milbemycin class of glutamate-gated chloride channel allosteric modulators. This is a nerve-and-muscle mode of action. Group identity matters because another Emamectin product remains Group 6 even when its trade name and supplier differ.

Bioclaim is not an all-crop or all-pest solution. The crop, target, formulation rate, spray-water volume and pre-harvest interval below come from Biostadt's current Indian product page and the Government of India major-use record. The current physical Bioclaim pack remains the final authority.

Why farmers choose itWhy Choose Bioclaim?
  • Defined crop-and-pest scope: the checked official records cover selected bollworms, fruit and shoot borers, pod borers, diamondback moth, thrips, mites and tea looper.
  • Translaminar movement: Biostadt states that Bioclaim moves into treated leaf tissue, supporting coverage of susceptible pests feeding on foliage.
  • Low gram application rates: registered formulation rates range from 135 to 220 g/ha, depending on the crop-and-pest row.
  • Crop-specific harvest intervals: verified PHIs range from 1 to 14 days; one crop's waiting period must never be copied to another.
  • Clear resistance identity: IRAC Group 6 helps separate same-active substitutes from genuine different-group program choices.

Product scienceHow Emamectin Benzoate Works
  1. Treated foliage is reached: Biostadt describes translaminar activity, meaning the deposit can move into the treated leaf rather than remaining only on the exposed surface.
  2. Group 6 action begins: Emamectin benzoate modulates glutamate-gated chloride channels in susceptible insects and disrupts normal nerve-and-muscle function.
  3. Feeding damage declines: affected larvae become paralysed and stop feeding. Continue field scouting for surviving active pests and new damage.
  4. Mode-of-action stewardship: Abamectin, Emamectin benzoate, Lepimectin and Milbemectin are all in IRAC Group 6; changing between them is not a different-group rotation.

PHI means pre-harvest interval. The crop-and-pest scope is listed on Biostadt's current Bioclaim page; the active-ingredient rate, formulation rate, water volume and domestic-label PHI are from the Government of India PPQS major-use table for Emamectin Benzoate 5% SG. Tea Board India's April 2026 code also lists 80 g in 200 L water for tea looper and confirms the 1-day tea PHI. Do not derive one universal grams-per-litre or 15-L-pump dose because crop spray volumes differ.

Export programs can require a longer interval than the domestic row. APEDA's February 2026 procedure for grapes intended for EU export lists a 30-day PHI for Emamectin Benzoate 5 SG. Export growers must follow the destination market's current MRL, APEDA/buyer protocol and the physical pack.

How to applyApplication and Resistance Stewardship
  • Identify both crop and target pest correctly, and apply only when the current Bioclaim label and local threshold guidance justify treatment.
  • Measure the crop-specific gram rate and treated area accurately. Use clean, calibrated foliar-spray equipment and the crop-appropriate water volume.
  • Do not transfer a dose, spray volume or PHI from one crop to another. Do not estimate coverage merely from the 100 g pack size.
  • When another treatment is justified, rotate away from IRAC Group 6. Egao, Track and other Emamectin brands are same-group substitutes, not resistance rotations.
  • No tank-mix recommendation is made. Related and Upsell products below are standalone alternatives for separate, label-directed applications.
Use with careSafety, Storage and Environmental Care
  • Read the current label and leaflet before opening. Wear all personal protective equipment required on the pack while measuring, mixing, spraying and cleaning equipment.
  • Do not eat, drink, smoke or chew while handling. Avoid inhalation, ingestion and contact with skin or eyes, and never clear a blocked nozzle by mouth.
  • Keep people, children and animals away during application and until the label permits re-entry. No numeric re-entry interval is invented here.
  • Avoid direct pollinator exposure and follow all pack precautions concerning bees, aquatic organisms, water bodies, spray drift and container disposal.
  • Store locked in the original labelled pack, away from food, feed, heat, moisture and unauthorised access. Never reuse an empty pesticide container.
  • If exposure or poisoning is suspected, follow the current Bioclaim pack's first-aid directions and obtain medical assistance promptly.
Use with careSafety Disclaimer

Always read and follow the current official Biostadt Bioclaim label and leaflet. The physical pack is the final authority for crop, pest, dose, water volume, timing, maximum applications, PHI, PPE, first aid, re-entry, environmental precautions, storage and disposal. Export growers must also follow the destination market's current residue limit and APEDA/buyer protocol. This guide does not replace the label, Indian regulation or qualified agronomic advice.
