• Have a trained pest-management professional identify the infestation and select the correct pre-construction, post-construction or wood-treatment procedure.
• For building treatment, measure 20 ml formulation for each 1 litre of water and follow the current label plus the applicable IS 6313 procedure. Do not increase the concentration without an authorised label direction.
• The label recommends a hand-operated knapsack sprayer or foot sprayer. Use properly maintained, calibrated equipment suited to the approved treatment method.
• Wear a long-sleeved shirt, long trousers, chemical-resistant gloves, goggles and covered shoes. Do not eat, drink, smoke or chew betel leaves while handling the product.
• Wash exposed skin with soap and plenty of water after handling. Remove contaminated clothing and wash it separately before reuse.
• Do not re-enter treated areas for 48 hours and until the spray has dried. Follow every additional access restriction on the current physical label.
• Bifenthrin 2.5% EC is toxic to aquatic organisms and fish. Prevent product, treatment liquid, washings and containers from reaching water bodies, aquaculture or pisciculture areas.
• Store locked in the original labelled container, separately from food, feed, children and livestock, in a dry and ventilated place. Never reuse the container.

Symptoms of exposure listed on the Indian label include nose bleeding, tremors, convulsions and temporary skin sensations such as rash, numbness, burning or tingling. There is no specific antidote; treatment is symptomatic and supportive. If exposure occurs, follow the current pack's first-aid directions and obtain medical help with the container or label available.
