1. Tetraniliprole action: the Group 28 component modulates insect ryanodine receptors, disrupting normal calcium regulation and muscle function in susceptible pests.
2. Fipronil action: the Group 2B component blocks GABA-gated chloride channels, disrupting normal nerve signalling.
3. Combined protection: the two target sites operate within one registered mixture, helping stop feeding and limit further pest injury when the product is correctly applied.

A dual-active mixture is not a reason for repeated use. Products containing another Group 28 diamide or Fipronil/another Group 2B active share a mode of action with Bicota and must not be presented as a fully different resistance rotation.

Rates are per hectare and are retained exactly in that unit. No universal dose per acre, per litre or per 5 kg pack is invented. PHI means the minimum number of days between the last application and harvest. The current physical Bicota label remains the final authority.

• Identify the crop and pest correctly, measure the treated area, and choose only the matching label row.
• Broadcast the granules uniformly by the method and at the crop stage stated on the current Bicota pack. Do not dissolve the granules to create an unapproved spray.
• Do not underdose, overdose or apply in windy conditions. Bayer's FarmRise guidance says to avoid consecutive applications of the same modes of action and to limit use to two applications per crop cycle; follow any stricter pack direction.
• This page makes no tank-mix, simultaneous-use or fertiliser-blending recommendation. Apply Bicota as a standalone product unless the current label expressly states otherwise.
• Wear nitrile or disposable gloves, shoes, long trousers, a long-sleeved shirt and safety goggles. Keep unprotected people away and avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing.
• The Indian registration decision states that this formulation is very toxic to aquatic organisms, fish and honey bees, with long-lasting effects. Avoid use near aquaculture and during active bee-foraging periods. Prevent granules and runoff from reaching ponds, drains or waterways.
• Wash hands before eating, drinking, smoking or using the toilet; shower after application and wash contaminated work clothing separately.
• Store locked in the original labelled container away from food, feed, children and animals. Follow the current pack for first aid, disposal and emergency medical advice.

Bicota already exposes the target pest population to IRAC Groups 28 and 2B. Avoid repeated Group 28 or Group 2B treatments against successive pest generations. When another treatment is genuinely needed, select a separately applied product from a different IRAC group only if its own current Indian label covers the same crop, pest and application window. Follow each product's rate, timing, PHI and safety directions independently.
