1. Exposure: label-listed pests encounter Cyantraniliprole through feeding on treated plant tissue or direct contact with the spray deposit.
2. Group 28 action: Cyantraniliprole modulates insect ryanodine receptors, disrupting calcium regulation in muscle cells and impairing normal muscle function.
3. Feeding disruption: FMC describes rapid feeding cessation and translaminar activity. Effective control still depends on early, label-compliant timing and complete coverage.
4. Resistance stewardship: do not use Group 28 insecticides on consecutive pest generations. The label permits no more than two successive Cyantraniliprole applications per pest generation and no more than three Cyantraniliprole applications in a crop cycle.

PHI = pre-harvest interval. These are hectare-based directions from FMC India's Benevia label. Do not convert them into one universal ml/acre or ml/litre instruction: the rate, water volume and PHI change by crop and pest. The current physical pack is the final authority.

• The Indian label warns that Benevia is toxic to aquatic organisms and honeybees. Avoid use near aquaculture and during active honeybee foraging periods, and prevent spray or washings from reaching water bodies.
• Wear long protective clothing, chemical-resistant gloves, footwear, eye protection and suitable respiratory protection while measuring, mixing and spraying.
• Avoid breathing spray mist and avoid contact with the mouth, eyes and skin. Do not eat, drink or smoke during application. Wash exposed skin and contaminated clothing after use.
• Store only in the original closed container, away from food, feed, children, pets, heat and direct sunlight. Do not reuse empty containers.
• If exposure occurs, follow the first-aid directions on the current label, obtain medical advice promptly and show the product pack. The label states that no specific antidote is known and treatment is symptomatic.
