Bayer Belt Expert Insecticide: Product Overview

Bayer Belt Expert is a suspension-concentrate insecticide containing Flubendiamide 19.92% w/w + Thiacloprid 19.92% w/w for specified sucking and chewing pests.

Its two active ingredients have different target sites. Flubendiamide is an IRAC Group 28 ryanodine-receptor modulator. Thiacloprid is an IRAC Group 4A neonicotinoid nicotinic-acetylcholine-receptor competitive modulator. The premix must not be described as resistance-proof: it exposes the target pest complex to both Groups 28 and 4A.

Bayer's current India catalog lists chilli, rice and tea. The crop, pest, rate, water volume and pre-harvest interval remain crop-specific, so the current physical Belt Expert pack is the final authority.

Why farmers choose itWhy Choose Belt Expert?
  • Two defined target-site groups: combines IRAC Groups 28 and 4A in one SC formulation.
  • Verified crop-specific directions: Government sources publish separate chilli and rice rates, water volumes and PHIs.
  • Current tea-code inclusion: Tea Board India Version 19 retains the formulation and publishes a tea-looper dilution and PHI.
  • Mixed pest-purpose role: registered directions cover specified sucking and caterpillar or borer pests rather than an unrestricted “all pests” claim.
  • Current Bayer listing: Belt Expert remains present in Bayer's India insecticide range.

Product scienceHow Belt Expert Works
  1. Flubendiamide — Group 28: modulates insect ryanodine receptors, disrupting calcium regulation in muscle cells and causing feeding cessation and paralysis in susceptible larvae.
  2. Thiacloprid — Group 4A: acts at insect nicotinic acetylcholine receptors and provides activity against the specified sucking-pest component.
  3. Resistance stewardship: when another treatment is justified, use a separately applied product whose current label independently covers the crop and pest and whose effective group differs from both 28 and 4A.

PHI = pre-harvest interval. Chilli and rice are per-hectare directions. The tea entry is the current Tea Board dilution for looper caterpillars and must not be converted into an unverified acreage rate. Although Bayer also lists tea mosquito bug, the current Tea Board mosquito-bug dilution table checked does not list this premix; do not transfer the looper dilution to that pest.

How to applyApplication and Resistance Stewardship
  • Confirm the crop and pest and treat only when the current label and local threshold guidance justify application.
  • Measure the crop-specific formulation rate and use clean, calibrated spray equipment for the required water volume and coverage.
  • Do not transfer the chilli rate to rice or tea and do not invent a universal per-acre, per-litre, 15-litre-pump or pack-coverage rate.
  • Belt Expert already contains Groups 28 and 4A. Another Flubendiamide, Chlorantraniliprole, Tetraniliprole or Thiacloprid product is not a fully different-group rotation.
  • No tank-mix claim is made. Related and Upsell products are standalone alternatives for separate, label-directed applications.
Use with careSafety, Storage and Environmental Care
  • Read the current label before opening and wear every item of personal protective equipment specified on the pack.
  • Do not eat, drink, smoke or chew while handling. Avoid inhalation and skin or eye contact, and never clear a blocked nozzle by mouth.
  • Keep people, children and animals away during application and until the current label permits re-entry.
  • Prevent spray, rinsate and containers from entering wells, drains, ponds, streams, aquaculture or other water bodies. Follow every pollinator precaution on the pack.
  • Store locked in the original labelled container away from food, feed, heat and unauthorized access. Never reuse an empty pesticide container.
Use with careSafety Disclaimer

Always read and follow the current official Bayer Belt Expert label and leaflet. The physical pack is the final authority for crop, pest, dose, water volume, timing, maximum applications, PHI, PPE, first aid, re-entry, environmental precautions, storage and disposal. Related and Upsell products are alternatives, not mixing instructions.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does Belt Expert contain?

Flubendiamide 19.92% w/w + Thiacloprid 19.92% w/w in an SC formulation, classified in IRAC Groups 28 and 4A.

What is the Belt Expert dose for chilli and rice?

The verified chilli rate is 200–250 ml/ha in 500 L water with a 5-day PHI. The verified rice rate is 250 ml/ha in 500 L water with a 33-day PHI.

What is the current tea direction?

Tea Board Version 19 lists 125 ml in 200 L water for looper caterpillars and a 7-day PHI. Do not transfer that direction to tea mosquito bug or convert it to acreage without the current label.

Can Belt Expert be used on cucumber or pomegranate?

Recent regulatory records discuss those expansions, but this page does not add them. Use only if the exact current Bayer pack being sold carries the crop and every applicable condition is satisfied.

Can another insecticide be mixed with Belt Expert?

No universal tank-mix recommendation is made. Every Related or Upsell product is a standalone alternative for a separate application under its own current label.
