HRAC classifies Pinoxaden in Group 1, the inhibitors of acetyl-CoA carboxylase, commonly abbreviated ACCase. This enzyme is required for fatty-acid production in susceptible grass weeds. After foliar uptake, the systemic active ingredient moves toward the growing points. Inhibiting ACCase disrupts normal lipid production and stops the development of new weed tissue.

The mode-of-action group is also important for stewardship. Repeated use of a Group 1 herbicide can select resistant weed populations. A same-active or same-group Related product is a substitute, not a resistance rotation. Different-group products shown in the Upsell area are separate program alternatives under their own labels; they are not tank-mix instructions.

PHI = pre-harvest interval. The two rows reproduce their source-specific units. Do not average them or derive a universal per-litre, 15-litre tank or pump dose. Measure the treated field area, formulation and water accurately and follow the current Bazzal pack.

• Confirm the target: use only in wheat where the target grass weed matches the current label. Bazzal is not a substitute for broadleaf-weed control.
• Match the window: PPQS lists 30–35 days after sowing, while ADAMA specifies the 3–5 leaf stage of Phalaris minor. Confirm both crop and weed stage on the physical pack.
• Use the selected source direction intact: do not combine the hectare rate from one source with the acre water volume from another.
• Obtain uniform coverage: ADAMA recommends a flat-fan nozzle or knapsack sprayer. Calibrate the equipment for the measured field area and required water volume.
• Keep products separate unless authorised: no universal compatibility or tank-mix recommendation is made. Related and Upsell items are standalone alternatives only.

Use Bazzal as one part of an integrated weed-management plan. Confirm the weed species before application, use the full labelled rate at the recommended growth stage, prevent survivors from setting seed and combine chemical control with suitable agronomic practices. Do not repeatedly replace Bazzal with another Pinoxaden or Group 1 herbicide and call that a mode-of-action rotation. Any change to HRAC Group 2 or Group 15 must be a separate, label-approved program selected for the field situation.

The statutory Bazzal label-host page states caution/slightly toxic and says no specific antidote is known; treatment is symptomatic. Avoid skin and eye contact and do not breathe spray mist or vapour. Wear every item of protective equipment specified on the current pack. Do not eat, drink or smoke while handling or spraying, and wash thoroughly after work.

Keep the original closed container locked away from food, feed, children and animals in a dry, ventilated storage area. Prevent spray, wash water and empty containers from contaminating water bodies. If exposure occurs, follow the first-aid directions on the pack and obtain medical attention promptly. Never reuse an empty pesticide container.
