1. Cuticle affinity: Bayer states that deltamethrin adheres strongly to the insect cuticle because of its high lipophilicity.
2. Nerve-action target: After entering the insect, deltamethrin changes sodium-channel kinetics in the nerve axon and disrupts normal impulse transmission.
3. Feeding interruption and mortality: The nerve disruption produces knockdown and ultimately mortality in susceptible insects.

Decis 100 belongs to IRAC Group 3A. Avoid treating successive pest generations with Group 3A as the only control method. If another treatment is justified, use a separately applied product from a different effective group only when its own current label covers the identified crop and pest.
